Many thanks for all the messages and support from local people and many others, response has been quite overwhelming.
For those who may not have heard, the Tayleur suffered major fire damage, well let's face it, it has burnt down to the ground. We would like to thank the gallant fire crews who fought early in the morning of March the 19th 2014 to bring the fire under control and some who were still there into the evening.
Richard, Eve and family, including the dog all escaped safely and as far as I know, no one was hurt in the whole horrible incident. The whole family would like to thank everyone for all their kind offers of help and donations of all kinds, a heartfelt thank you to you all.
As a result of the fire, I am afraid most of our booking paperwork has been lost and we have no phone communication at the moment needless to say, we are unable to contact anyone who has booked a table to let them know, we do apologie for this inconvenience.
As it was...
After the fire ...
We hope to rebuild the Tayleur Arms and this site will bring you any news that we can share with you all.
After the meeting on the 30th September we now have confirmation that the rebuild will take place, it will not be a quick process and we anticipate reopening by the beginning of October 2015. Hope to see you all there.
